We are a group of local people who meet together on Sunday and during the week to help and support one another whether that means to grow in our faith or help in practical ways. We welcome everyone who comes along, whether they are Christians or just wanting to explore the Christian faith. As a church, we seek to promote the teachings of Jesus and to regularly take time in our busy lives to be still and seek to hear God’s voice through his words in the Bible and through prayer.
Our vision is ‘Making disciples by sharing Christ’s love in word and deed.
As a Member of the Baptist Union the Church subscribes to the Union’s Declaration of Principle:
The inspired Old and New Testament Scripture is the only complete and infallible authority for our faith and practice.
In the unity of the Godhead: the Divine personality of the Father, Son and Holy Spirit
In the fall and the sinful state of mankind resulting in separation from God.
That Christ’s sacrifice for our sins enables all who put their faith in Him to experience a restored relationship with God and the promise of eternal life.
In believer’s baptism by immersion in water and the ordinance of the Lord’s supper
In the work of the Holy Spirit to bring us to God’s grace and to restore us to the people God intends us to be. We believe that the Holy Spirit brings gifts and power to every Christian enabling all to participate in making disciples by sharing his love by word and deed.
